Learning Technologies 2024 - Accessibility in Digital Learning with Susi Miller

Paula Hughes, Vice Chair of The Learning Network, sat down with us at the Learning Technologies Exhibition to discuss what she was hearing at the event, the changes she had seen in the last 12 months, and what she hopes to see in the next 12 months.

Thomas Bergen, CEO of getAbstract, sat down with me at Learning Technologies 2024 to discuss the event. We explored what getAbstract has been focusing on and the big topics of the event, including the rise of AI content generation.

Toby Harris, the Chief Customer Officer from Filtered, joined me in the Learning Technologies exhibition hall to discuss the state of the AI conversation in L&D. He highlighted the importance of maturing the conversation within our industry and embracing the opportunities around linking skills and content data through AI to deliver an effective workplace offering.

Susi Miller, founder and director at eLaHub, joined me on day one of Learning Technologies 2024 to discuss the state of accessibility in the industry and at the event. We discuss what is changing and improving and what we still need to do.

Mike Pryke, Director of Revenue at Guider stopped to chat on the exhibition floor of Learning Technologies 2024. We discussed the many attendees' AI fatigue and the importance of using AI to solve real problems, not just add an exciting new tool to the toolbox.

Gemma Nunn, Head of Learning Design at Mint took some time during the expo at Learning Technologies to discuss her passion for accessibility. We discussed the incoming EU legislation that will establish some minimum standards for workplace learning accessibility.

Ross Garner, Head of Content and Custom Solutions at Mindtools, joined me for a chat on The Learning Network's stand during the Learning Technologies expo. We discussed the gap between what L&D vendors are talking about regarding AI and what customers are talking about.

Olga Anishenkova, Learning Design Specialist at Atlas CopCo, joined me early on day one of Learning Technologies to discuss what she was looking forward to at the event. We discussed how perhaps there hasn't been as much real change in the last year as we think and that we have a long way to go in terms of delivering value to our organisations. We finish on embracing performance enablement, action mapping and the 5Di model.

Katja Schipperheijn and Kerry Richardson joined me the day after Learning Technologies to discuss what we each came across at the event, what was missing, and what it all means for the L&D industry.
